              One week later. . .

            I got the attached note from Earl Wilson yesterday and I think that you will be interested in something else that happened to Eleanor yesterday.

            She took a cab from Midtown and gave the driver a Riverdale address and he asked her whether she had read in The Post about that wonderful woman from Riverdale who died the other day. Eleanor asked the driver what woman he meant and he said he was talking about Birdye Sann. He said it was very sad that she died. Then Eleanor told him Birdye was her mother.

            Can you imagine anything like this happening in this city?
