DEAR ROY COHN: This little missive is for your waste paper basket
or your conscience, whichever comes first.
You wouldn't know me but I have followed your
career with abiding interest way back to the Army-McCarthy time, because I was Executive Editor of The Post and
you had a habit of turning up in news stories.
I know it is none of my business but I rise now on the subject of the Moonies and Roy Cohn.
Your parents were Jewish (mine too).
The clear and
irrefutable anti-Semitism of the Rev. Moon's movement is all on the record and
easily checked by a man with your resources and investigative talents.
This
is just to say that I am shocked that you would take money from such a tainted
source. Nobody--no Jew, surely--can possibly need it that badly.
End of
unsolicited sermon.
Very
sincerely,
